Rehabilitation Counsellor

The role
Due to continuous growth, we are looking to add a Rehabilitation Counsellor to join our high performing team based in Kotara, NSW.
Working full-time or part-time, you will use your training and skills to guide and manage your client’s journey as they return to daily life after a psychological injury. You will influence your clients to achieve their identified goals through a whole-of-person approach to rehabilitation.
In this role, you’ll be….
- Managing complex physical and psychological injury cases and providing health coaching, career coaching and return to work support
- Performing vocational assessments both in-person and virtually
- Creating Employer networks within NSW
- Use award winning psychosocial risk assessment tools to achieve great outcomes
What is required:
- Degree in Rehabilitation Counselling, Social Work, Provisional Psychology or Psychology
- Eligibility for registration with ASORC, AASW or APHRA
- Experience working in a similar role within the Occ. Rehab sector is highly desirable although not required for this position
- Highly developed interpersonal skills including negotiation and consultation skills and the ability to proactively establish and sustain effective stakeholder relationships
- Strong attention to detail with a result focused approached.
- Strong organisational skills and capacity to successfully manage competing priorities
- Show initiative and work unsupervised
- Well-developed ability to undertake research and to prepare, collate and organise data for reporting purposes
- Ability to follow administration procedures with accuracy and efficiency
- Current Australian drivers’ licence and access to own vehicle
- Police clearance and a working with children check
