Senior Tax Analyst

We’re seeking a proactive and technically strong Senior Tax Analyst who enjoys owning core tax cycles and helping to streamline how tax is delivered across a growing Group.

You’ll be part of our Group Tax team, working closely with the ANZ Tax Operations Lead as the key driver of our Australian and New Zealand tax deliverables. Beyond the core ANZ cycles, you’ll play an active role in shaping how tax is delivered across the wider Group, helping modernise processes and contribute to more consistent, streamlined ways of working as we continue to scale.

About APM

APM is a leading global human services organisation operating across 11 countries. With more than 16,000 team members, we deliver programs across employment, health, education and community services, helping people improve their lives every day. As our Group continues to grow, so too does our tax profile. This growth brings an exciting opportunity to simplify workflows and build more scalable, modern tax processes that support our purpose of enabling better lives.

What you’ll do

Deliver core tax outcomes

You’ll ensure high‑quality delivery of our recurring tax obligations, including:

  • Preparing income tax workpapers and tax effect accounting support
  • Delivering GST, BAS, FBT, payroll tax and related indirect tax obligations
  • Supporting statutory accounts, audits and local compliance reviews
  • Ensuring documentation, controls and governance are consistently applied
  • Maintaining accurate and reliable tax data across systems

Beyond compliance: Shape better ways of working

You’ll collaborate with the team to enhance how established processes operate and connect, helping create a more efficient and scalable tax environment. Your focus areas will include:

  • Enhance the consistency and usability of tax‑relevant data, supporting better forecasting and clearer reporting.
  • Streamline data flows by working with finance and operations to reduce manual touch points.
  • Support more accurate planning and scenario work, including cash tax/ETR forecasts and deferred tax outlooks.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and system improvement across tax-sensitive processes.
  • Contributing to support project and advisory work, including emerging global legislative changes.

Your work will directly support the team’s shift towards more predictable outcomes and a more efficient compliance engine.

About you

You’re someone who:

  • Is CA/CPA qualified
  • Has experience in corporate tax or business services (generally 4+ years)
  • Enjoys structured work, documentation and tax technical detail
  • Is curious about improving systems, data and ways of working
  • Collaborates respectfully with subject matter experts
  • Can balance recurring delivery with practical improvements
  • Sees clear potential for growth and broadening their tax capability

Why join us?

  • Play a key role in the natural evolution of a multinational tax function.
  • Opportunity to gain exposure to tax matters across 11 countries and multiple brands.
  • Influence improvements within a supportive, collaborative team.
  • Grow your capability across direct and indirect tax, forecasting and governance.
  • Be part of a purpose‑driven organisation committed to enabling better lives.
