Speech Pathologist

Our Brighton clinic is an Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) clinic which is seeking a purpose driven Speech Pathologist to join our multidiscipline team.

Located on Bay Street, close to public transport you will join a team of individuals who are passionate about helping children and their families in clinic and the community.

You will work with a purpose, values and outcome driven organisation that will support you and your growth. Our practitioners actively collaborate with each other and have access to some highly skilled experts providing supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide evidence-based assessments and therapy to a paediatric caseload – providing direct, family based and community-based support to individuals with developmental delays and/or disabilities,
  • Day-to-day in the role will include assessment and intervention sessions with a mixed caseload in terms of both age and modality of intervention, working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary context to deliver quality, evidence-based outcomes,
  • Work closely with key stakeholders providing information, education and support,
  • Ongoing evaluation, training and review to ensure the delivery of quality services to clients.

Skills and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology and SPA Registration is a must,
  • A passion for working with individuals who have disabilities to help each client to achieve their own goals, potential and participate in their community in a way that is meaningful for them,
  • Exceptional communication skills that enable you to work in a culturally rich and diverse environment and collaborate in a multidisciplinary team environment,
  • Effective time management and attention to detail,
  • Passion for making a difference with a focus on making therapy fun, engaging and meaningful for clients and families!
  • Experience in working with children and adolescents and confidence in your role working closely with their families is highly valued,
  • Compliance requirements – SPA Registration; Working with Children Check; National Police Check; NDIS workers screening check; First Aid Training; Driver’s License & Vehicle.
