Allied Health Assistant

About the Role

As an Allied Health Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting therapists to deliver personalised therapy programs. You’ll work closely with clients, families, and other stakeholders to ensure therapy goals are met through engaging, meaningful activities. This role offers variety, autonomy, and the chance to make a real impact in people’s lives.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Support Therapy Delivery - Assist therapists in planning, preparing, and implementing therapy programs tailored to individual client goals.
  • Client Engagement & Observation - Facilitate client participation in activities, observe their progress, and report physical and psychosocial responses to the therapy team.
  • Documentation & Communication - Maintain accurate records of client involvement, liaise with therapists and stakeholders, and contribute to case notes and reports.
  • Resource & Environment Management - Order and maintain therapy equipment, ensure safe and organised workspaces, and follow clinic policies and procedures.
  • Professional Development & Compliance - Participate in ongoing training, complete mandatory compliance modules, and uphold professional standards and legislative requirements.

What You’ll Bring

  • Certificate III/IV in Allied Health Assistance or relevant experience
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience engaging with children, adults, and families
  • Observational and report writing skills
  • Required checks: Working with Children Check, National Police Check, NDIS Worker Screening, CPR & First Aid
