The Role
This position is part of a geographically dispersed IT Team and will be supporting IT activities associated with the management and integration of acquired businesses into the APM group of companies. Which includes, discovery, analysis and monitoring of systems, migration planning and execution, troubleshooting. Relevant technologies include (not limited to); cloud, devices and associated software, operational systems and software, servers, virtualisation, networking, communications, peripheral devices, email, user accounts, M365 and O365 components. The role may also include project work as required. This role can be based across our Tech Hubs in Sydney, Melbourne, Geelong, Perth or Brisbane.
In this role you will:
- Troubleshoot and resolve / coordinate the resolution of relevant Infrastructure and network related problems and incidents.
- Assist appropriately in security related incidents and projects as directed.
- Ensure relevant Incidents, Problems, Service and Change Requests are accurately captured and documented within APM Tool (ServiceNow) and kept current.
- Accountable for the maintenance of (not limited to): Azure components, servers and selected services, networking, communications and collaboration technologies, devices and associated software, technical strategies, playbooks and processes.
- Within the context of corporate Acquisitions and Integrations, assist to conduct research/evaluations on emerging technologies, products, services, protocols and standards, and make recommendations that will increase cost effectiveness, scalability, reusability, performance and flexibility.
Skills you’ll bring.
- At least five years’ experience working within technical teams - highly beneficial would be experience within an enterprise scale, geographically disperse environment / cloud-based organisation involving working with vendors and inhouse D&T services.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field and / or Microsoft certification (Azure, MCSE, MCSA certification).
- Strong technical knowledge (not limited to) Azure cloud administration, PowerShell, Exchange, SharePoint, Active Directory, O365 Suite.
- Relevant qualifications or relevant fields of experience such as ITIL Certification / Practitioner and / or extensive knowledge of ITIL best practices.
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to avoid technical jargon and strong interpersonal skills with a customer focus.
- Advanced system development / design / coding skills in one or more languages such as PowerShell, JavaScript, Python, etc.
- Experience of system and/or data migration projects would be highly regarded, as would knowledge of implementing, configuring, and using Lansweeper.
- Compliance Requirement: Must be an Australian Citizen or a Permanent Resident
