We are looking for passionate graduates, who want to make a real difference in the lives of those they treat, to join our two-year Graduate Program.

You’ll work with a team of dedicated allied health professionals, supporting your clients on their journey to return to work and return to life after physical or psychological injury.

Everyday can look different at APM ... but as a Graduate Physiotherapist you will be:

  • Providing initial rehabilitation assessment and rehabilitation planning to assist clients with physical injuries and secondary psychosocial barriers to participate in Graduated Return to Work Programs
  • Providing case management for clients with return to same employment or transition to new employment
  • Providing services within job description and clinical scope of practice including, but not limited to:
  • Worksite assessments
  • Functional Capacity Evaluations
  • Home, office, and vehicle ergonomic assessments
  • Deliver injury prevention training relevant for customer need
  • Complete work task analyses and prepare job dictionaries
  • Co-ordinating a holistic treatment approach for the client’s condition, regularly liaising with treating practitioners to monitor progress and adjust rehabilitation plans as needed
  • In conjunction with the treating medical team, assessing and making recommendations regarding clients’ physical health and wellbeing, and medical conditions on ability to work
  • Writing detailed case notes and reports
  • Working with veterans to support their psychosocial, medical and vocational goals
  • Given opportunities to work across multiple state- and national-based insurance schemes, and with self-insured employers
  • Trained to deliver the Virtual Reality Empowered Pain program for clients with persistent pain presentations

What’s in it for you?

We want to take this opportunity to be a pivotal part of your first steps into the world of work, and your future career. We value our people, guaranteeing an attractive salary package with a host of other benefits to ensure you can flourish with APM:

  • Dedicated time for professional development, with a substantial allowance to support this
  • Generous paid parental leave
  • Discounts on every day and extra-special purchases – from groceries to movie tickets
  • Wellbeing benefits including discounted health insurance and access to Sonder, a personal safety app community

What we’re looking for in our future graduates:

We’re looking to bring on graduates who want to thrive in their career, by owning what you do and continuing to grow in a personal and professional manner.

We want enthusiastic and dedicated individuals who not only have a desire to thrive in their own careers, but they are ready to collaborate and bring fresh ideas to the wider team.

Your ability to communicate effectively, coupled with a keen eye for detail and core time management skills, will put you in a fantastic position to thrive within our team at APM.

Most importantly, we want to support graduates who truly want to have a positive impact on peoples’ lives by developing your business acumen and helping you achieve your targets, inside and outside the workplace.

Now here’s the important bits... you need to:

  • Hold a degree in Physiotherapy
  • Be eligible for AHPRA membership, upon graduating
  • Have graduated in the last 12 months or graduating in 2025
  • Pass a national criminal check, prior to commencing employment
  • Have full Australian working rights
  • Hold a full drivers’ license, your own vehicle and comprehensive insurance
