Acumen Graduates
Purposeful work. From day one
At Acumen Health, we believe that meaningful careers and better lives go hand in hand. Our Allied Health Graduate Program is built on that belief - giving you the clinical grounding, the scheme-specific expertise and a warm, genuinely inclusive culture to launch a career that makes a lasting difference.
You'll spend your first 12 months building the skills, confidence and relationships that will shape your career for years to come. With structured inductions across health and scheme portfolios - including training in Department of Veterans' Affairs programs - you'll enter practice with clarity, strong foundations and the backing of a team that wants you to succeed.
We don't believe graduates should be left to figure things out alone. And we mean that. From your first day to your last milestone in the program, you'll have the supervision, mentoring and peer connection to grow at the right pace - in work that genuinely matters to the people you serve.
If you've recently graduated or are about to complete your degree in occupational therapy, physiotherapy, exercise physiology, psychology or rehabilitation counselling, explore our opportunities and take the first step in a career that goes beyond rehabilitation - and into life.
Search graduate rolesWhat you can expect from the program
On the Acumen Health Graduate Program, you’ll be in a permanent, full-time role and receive over 100 hours of dedicated education, supervision and mentoring – an investment valued at over $23,000 per graduate.
You can expect a culture that takes belonging seriously, case work that challenges and broadens you and the chance to do work that reaches beyond the workplace and into the lives of the people you support.
Support
From your very first day, you'll be part of a team that genuinely has your back. Weekly one-to-one supervision with your team manager, peer learning through shadowing and file reviews and ongoing mentoring aligned to your caseload milestones mean no question goes unanswered and no challenge goes unsupported. Our newcomers say it best - at Acumen Health, you're never made to feel silly for asking. That culture of openness and warmth isn't accidental. It's how we work.
Growth
Our program is structured to build capability that lasts. You'll move through facilitator-led inductions across health and scheme-specific portfolios and continue developing through ongoing professional development, graduate networking and engagement with senior leaders across the business. The breadth of case work you'll encounter, from return to work and job placement to workplace assessments and return to life programs, means your skills grow in every direction.
Impact
At Acumen Health, impact means more than getting someone back to their desk. Our return to life approach recognises that recovery is about restoring confidence, independence and participation in every part of a person's world - not just their working life. As a graduate, you'll see that difference in the clients you support every day. The outcomes are more holistic, more human, and we think - more meaningful than anything a traditional rehabilitation pathway can offer.
