Senior Receptionist

Lifecare is seeking an organised, professional, and hands‑on Lead Receptionist to support the day‑to‑day operations of our clinic and maintain a high‑quality, welcoming environment for both clients and staff. This role is available on a part‑time basis between 22 – 28 hours.

As the Lead Receptionist, you’ll be closely involved in front‑of‑house functions—supporting the reception desk, assisting with daily administrative tasks, and ensuring the clinic runs efficiently. You will act as a key point of contact for the reception team, providing guidance, support, and clear direction to help them deliver consistent, high‑quality service, allowing our Practice Manager to focus on supporting business growth. You’ll also foster strong working relationships between our allied health professionals and administrative staff, ensuring effective communication, excellent customer service, and reliable operational performance.

What's in it for you?

  • A competitive salary: Enjoy a well‑compensated role with the convenience of parking local to the clinic.
  • Be part of a growing, high‑potential sports and health clinic: Join a practice that’s on an exciting growth trajectory, where your contribution genuinely shapes how we evolve and deliver exceptional care.
  • A supportive, connected team environment: Work alongside passionate clinicians and admin professionals who value collaboration, communication, and creating a positive workplace culture.
  • Make an impact in the local community: Build strong relationships with a loyal, engaged client base and play a key role in their health journey.
  • Access valuable employee benefits: Enjoy discounted health insurance and wellbeing perks designed to support you.
  • Room to grow your career: Tap into development opportunities across the broader APM Group Health network, giving you space to expand your skills and take on new challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day‑to‑day operations of the clinic, including reception coverage, appointment coordination, client communication, and maintaining a professional, welcoming environment.
  • Act as the first point of contact for the reception team, providing guidance, support, and task allocation.
  • Coordinate rosters and assist with forward planning to ensure adequate reception and clinical coverage under the guidance of the Practice Manager.
  • Build strong working relationships between allied health clinicians and administrative staff to support effective communication and smooth service delivery.
  • Contribute to onboarding, training, and ongoing development of reception team members in collaboration with senior leaders.
  • Uphold high service standards by monitoring client experience, identifying issues, and supporting timely resolution of enquiries or complaints via the Practice Manager.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies and helping implement updated processes and best practices.

What You’ll Bring

  • 3+ years’ experience in healthcare administration or a similar client‑focused environment preferred.
  • Proven experience working as a key team player, with strong communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service capability and a commitment to delivering an exceptional patient experience.
  • Confidence implementing systems, following processes, and maintaining high standards of compliance.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and experience with Practice Management Systems.
  • A proactive, can‑do attitude, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary clinic.
