People & Culture Business Partner
APM Employment Services are searching for a suitably qualified and experience Human Resources Business Partner. Reporting directly to the General Manager People, Talent and Development, this Employment Services People and Culture Business Partner role enables APM’s vision to be the Employer of Choice. This role delivers end‑to‑end generalist HR services and business partnering, owning people plans and HR operations to support business performance, culture, and legal compliance.
Primary Responsibilities
- Strategic Business Partnering — Act as a trusted advisor to Employment Services Leadership Team to design, implement, and evaluate people strategies that solve business problems and drive outcomes.
- HR Delivery — Own the employee lifecycle for Employment Services including induction, performance management, development, retention, and offboarding.
- Employee Relations and Advice — Provide timely, pragmatic HR advice and coaching to leaders and employees on performance, conduct, capability, and complex people matters.
- Policy, Process and Compliance — Ensure HR systems, policies and procedures are current and applied consistently; maintain compliance with employment law and regulatory requirements.
- Operational Excellence — Manage HR administration and systems, reporting, workforce data, and HR projects to improve efficiency and employee experience.
- Culture and Engagement — Partner on initiatives that build engagement, inclusion, wellbeing and a high‑performance culture aligned to APM values.
Key Deliverables
- Business aligned people plans that translate strategy into measurable HR initiatives.
- Timely resolution of employee relations cases and consistent application of policy.
- Accurate HR metrics and reporting to inform leadership decisions.
- Improved people outcomes such as retention, engagement, and capability development.
Skills and Experience
- Experience: Proven generalist HR experience in a business partnering role.
- Technical knowledge: Strong understanding of employment law, HR systems, and HR processes.
- Commercial mindset: Ability to translate people insights into business impact.
- Influence and communication: Credible advisor with strong stakeholder management and coaching skills.
- Project and change capability: Experience delivering HR projects and change initiatives.
Qualifications and Behaviours
- Qualifications: Degree or diploma in HR, Business, or related field preferred; HR certification advantageous.
- Behaviours: Proactive, pragmatic, confidential, solutions‑focused, and collaborative.

- Leader satisfaction with HR partnership and advice.
- Compliance with HR policies and legislative requirements.
- Improvements in engagement, retention, and performance metrics within the business unit.
- Timeliness and quality of HR operational delivery and reporting.
