We're on the hunt for an experienced Physiotherapist - Aged Care to join our team in Auckland.
About the role
Reporting to your Team Leader, you’ll be part of a vibrant team culture that supports and empowers each other every day.
This role can be full-time or part-time
What you’ll do
- Mobility and Transfer Assessments: Carrying out assessments for new residents in both Hospital-Level Care and Rest Home units.
- Collaboration with the Physiotherapy Assistant: Work closely with the Physiotherapy Assistant, offering guidance on how they can provide ongoing support and regular input to residents in line with the mobility and maintenance goals.
- Ongoing Support for Hospital-Level Residents: Closely monitor the mobility needs of each resident admitted under Hospital-Level Care, to help maintain their functional abilities, and recommend updates to care plans when needed.
- Manual Handling Training: Delivery of training sessions to care and auxiliary staff, as requested by the facility, to ensure safe and effective manual handling practices.
What you’ll bring

- High-level clinical reasoning and adaptability across a spectrum of client needs
- A commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Proven ability to deliver client-centered rehabilitation in community
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication with clients, whanau and stakeholders
- Relevant qualifications, professional registration and valid practicing certificate.
- At least 2 years’ clinical experience - manual handling experience is desirable.
