Rehabilitation Consultant (Social Worker, Rehabilitation Counsellor, Psychologist)

As a Rehabilitation Consultant, you'll support people facing mental health, psychosocial, injury-related or health challenges to build confidence, overcome barriers and achieve their employment and wellbeing goals. This is a highly rewarding role where no two days are the same. You'll work across the Sunshine Coast region, delivering face-to-face support, building relationships with local customers, and helping clients achieve outcomes that genuinely make a difference.
What you'll be doing
In this varied and impactful role, you will:
- Deliver one-on-one rehabilitation and vocational support to clients experiencing injury, illness, mental health or psychosocial barriers
- Conduct assessments and identify barriers, strengths and opportunities to achieve successful outcomes
- Collaborate with clients to develop tailored rehabilitation, wellbeing and employment plans
- Support individuals to prepare for, secure or maintain employment through practical and goal-focused interventions
- Deliver regular face-to-face support sessions across various Sunshine Coast locations
- Facilitate workshops and group sessions, either in person or online (full training provided)
- Monitor progress and adjust support strategies to ensure sustainable outcomes
- Build strong relationships with employers, healthcare providers, insurers and community stakeholders
- Provide expert advice regarding workplace adjustments, injury management and return-to-work planning
- Promote Konekt's services within the local community and maintain strong customer relationships to support referral growth
- Manage cases end-to-end, ensuring high-quality documentation, reporting and customer service

About you
We're looking for someone who is passionate about helping people succeed and enjoys building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
You'll bring:
- Qualifications in Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling or Social Work
- Registration with AHPRA (including Provisional Psychologists), ASORC membership or AASW membership
- Strong communication, engagement and relationship-building skills
- The ability to think critically and solve problems in complex situations
- Experience in rehabilitation, employment services, mental health, disability, workplace health or related fields (desirable)
- Experience delivering workshops or group programs, or a willingness to learn (desirable)
- Confidence engaging with employers, community organisations and referral partners
- A collaborative, proactive and client-centred approach
- A current driver's licence and willingness to travel locally throughout the Sunshine Coast region
- A valid Working with Children Check
- Ability to pass a National Criminal History Check
- Full Australian working rights
